I came across J.A.Baker’s book The Peregrine during a 3-month residency in Grunewald Forest, Berlin. I started a series of drawings on photographs taken moments before the sun goes down in the woods.

Through darkness, nature reveals itself—far remote from being salvific, harmless ‘other’ or as forms of cute or kitsch…It forces us to see and experience a more-than-human world by recalling the fear of the unknown in our blood.

The title of this series is quoted from Baker’s book.
